Sir: Unfortunately Pakistan is left with a very few days of celebration. August 14 has been one of those days when we could promote nationhood and patriotism among our fellow citizens. I am afraid Imran Khan’s long march towards the capital, and the imminent crisis arising from confrontation between the law enforcement agencies and PTI’s firebrand followers will snatch the charm of this auspicious day. No one in a democratic society can or should bar an opposition party from displaying its public support, but the choice of the date is not correct. PTI should revisit its August 14 agenda and abstain from taking the risk of making yet another June 17 in the history of Pakistan. Syed Hamzah Gilani Lahore
