Sir: It is beyond my comprehension that a government can be so insensitive to the plight of people who are dying of hunger and malnutrition. The death of 450 children does not even seem to be alarming enough that the Sindh or federal government have bothered to provide some relief and healthcare to the drought-stricken people. What is the fault of these people who are born in a desert that happens to be in Pakistan? For how long will these helpless people have to suffer at the hands of nature’s caprice and what are these politicians waiting for? SAMMAN IQBAL Lahore
