Sir: Anarchy is the best word to describe the present state of rule of law in Pakistan. The means to secure justice in this society are tools in the hands of the political oligarchy to ensure only partial justice and exercise authority over the enslaved citizens of the poor state of Pakistan. It was frustrating to read about the role of the former premier in securing the bailout mechanism for the alleged accused of the Baldia Town incident. The death of more than 280 people appears to be no big deal for them. A costly, time taking, slow and stagnant judicial process also supports this fabricated ‘democratic’ hydra of the oligarchy. The people with truly democratic ideas, norms, values and customs are losing face and prefer to stay in the background in the presence of such mayhem. Perhaps jungles have some rules and norms but we in Pakistan lack them. I dare to coin such people as the democratically elected zalimaan (cruel ones) of Pakistan, who carry a superficial mask of nobility on their ugly faces and polluted characters. The people of Pakistan are also part of this filthy saga by supporting, following and believing these people. A true change is needed. Let us condemn those who are allegedly supporting them.
