The heinous terrorist attack at Garissa University, Kenya, definitely reminded me of the Peshawar attack. The group of militants from al Shabaab used the same tactics and slaughtered students on April 2. This brutal killing resulted in the deaths of 147 students and spread a wave of terror amongst the inhabitants of Kenya.Students are no less than soldiers these days as institutions have unfortunately turned into battlefields. The killing of innocent people is not justified irrespective of caste, creed or colour. People need to realise the fact that each life matters. It is high time that people belonging to different sects and believing in different gods unite and try to save what little of humanity is left within us.TOOBA ABDUL RASHEEDKarachi
