Sir: The government, just like previous governments, is making very tall claims about the expected economic benefits that will result from the numerous agreements signed between Pakistan and China. The figures have always been exaggerated for political reasons. However, this time the volume of economic benefits is so huge that even if 50 percent of it materialises, a new Pakistan will emerge. And I must say that the path to a new Pakistan passes through the corridors of a strong economy, not public demonstrations. IBN-E-SALEEMLahore
