LAHORE – Indian film actress and the daughter of renowned film star Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha is all set for her upcoming film ‘Noor’. According to sources Sonakshi is playing the role of a Pakistani journalist in the movie. The story of Noor is based on a popular novel ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me’ written by Pakistani journalist and author Saba Imtiaz. Karachi, You’re Killing Me, which became a thunderous success, moves around the life of a female journalist, Ayesha Khan, who lives in Karachi and she is a progressive thinker. The story throws light on the contrast between her modern attitude and the city’s orthodox elements. According to Indian media reports, the rights for the adaptation have already been reserved by a leading production house and the film will be directed by debutant Sunhil Sippy. The 28 years old actress will be portraying the role of a Karachi-based journalist and as per media reports, the actress has already said yes to the film. The film will go into production later this year and is slated to release in 2017.
