CHAMAN: Afghan officials expel over 250 Pakistani labourers after Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate was closed in Chaman. The suspended NATO supplies and cross border trade activities reach 10th consecutive day on Saturday. An official deployed at Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate said that Afghanistan had expelled over 250 Pakistani labourers during last 10 days after the border was padlocked. He further said that women, children and the old aged persons were allowed to cross into Afghanistan. Three flag meetings have been held between Pakistani and Afghan officials on the issue. The border was closed 10 days back when Afghan citizens – on the dictation of their border forces – staged a demonstration against Islamabad and set a Pakistani flag on fire. The NATO supplies and cross border trade activities were also suspended for last 10 days.
