ISLAMABAD: The CDA has decided to sack 4000 daily wages and muster roll employees from June of this year. The appointments will be made in the CDA on contract basis from the next fiscal year instead of on daily wages or muster roll. The decision was taken by the CDA administration. A warning letter was issued to HRD-2 that if the muster roll and daily wages employees were not sacked from June then the concerned department would pay their salaries from their own earnings. According to media reports, the CDA has started a plan to remove daily wages employees from their jobs. The CDA administration had informed the Director HRD-2, through a notification, that no salary would be released for payment to daily wages and muster roll employees after June this year and the officer of the respective directorate will pay the salary to them from his own pocket if they are allowed to continue with their jobs. This notification has caused embarrassment among the daily wages employees who have voiced a strong protest terming this move as anti- employees. They have demanded of the Chairman CDA to withdraw this notification to save them and their families from starving to death.
