ISLAMABAD: An International Baccalaureate orientation seminar for schools was held at The Millennium University College TMUC in Islamabad, according to a press release issued by the institution on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Faizol Musa, the regional development manager for South East Asia and Pakistan, delivered a detailed presentation to introduce the IB organisation, philosophy and programs, university recognition, IBCC acceptance and information on how to become an IB world school. He expressed in detail the requirements and curriculum framework of IB Primary Years Program, IB Middle Years Program, IB Diploma Program and IB Career-related Program. Appreciating the increasing growth of IB candidates and authorized schools in Pakistan, he shared how the IB mission statement helped develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalising world. Azra Tahir, the general manager of the Department of International Qualification at Roots Millennium Schools, shared her experience regarding working with the IBO for last five years. She reiterated that the RMS is committed to providing students with the best quality education that ensures their holistic development and definite success in the professional world. She maintained that IB programs were the best choice for the students of the present world as they offered the most relevant qualifications based on the philosophy of conceptual and inquiry based learning.
