The scattered litter, ruined plants, saplings and grass besides broken grills and pavements gave extremely unpleasant panorama to the visitors when they approached the park on Monday morning for a routine walk and jogging. Right from the entrance to the end of the park one could see large heaps of garbage, wrappers of eatable items, empty bottles of water and juices lying all around. The participants had badly damaged the entrance gates besides the decorative fences in and around the biggest and renowned park of the federal capital. The parking of light and heavy vehicles had caused irreparable damages to the green belts in front of the F9 Park and footpaths that had been inviting annoyance of the residents of the twin cities. The CDA Member Environment Sanaullah Aman said that about 100 sanitary workers had been deputed for cleanliness of the park. The maintenance work of the park would be completed in two to three days, he added. Another official of CDA said that the department used to spend millions of rupees every year for maintenance and beautification of the capital city’s main park, which is also known as green face of the federal capital. He proposed that the administration in future should not allow holding of any such meeting, procession or rally in the park.
