ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Romania Nicolae Goia said on Monday that relations between Romania and Pakistan were strengthening. “Pakistan is a safe country and it should, therefore, have more foreign investment,” he said while speaking during the inaugural meeting of Pakistan, Romania Forum (PRF) at his residence. The ambassador further said that Romania and Pakistan enjoyed excellent relations and hoped these relations would further be cemented in the coming days. “He said Pakistan is very important country for this region and for Europe as well. Pakistan indeed is different from how it is portrayed generally in terms of security situation and business climate,” he said. Ambassador Goia said he had expected the newly-established forum to contribute towards promotion and strengthening of relations in all fields including culture, education, tourism, people to people contacts. He said his doors were always open for the forum members and he would gladly extend his support whenever it was required. Ambassador Goia wished the forum success and expressed the hope that its scope and ambit would also be expanded. Zahid Maqbool, the PRF president, assured the Romanian envoy that he and his team would work to promote relations between the two countries. “Pakistan now doubt is a safe country for investment. The focus should be on strengthening people-to-people contacts,” he said.
