ISLAMABAD: Model Ayyan Ali has filed a contempt of court petition in Supreme Court against the Interior Ministry for not removing her name from the exit control list (ECL). She argued that if her name not removed from the ECL immediately, she would have to suffer huge financial loss. The model has filed another petition to take up her plea on an urgent basis. The contempt of court petition has made interior secretary, additional interior secretary and in-charge Karachi terminal of airport as respondents. Ayyan has taken the plea that her name has not been removed despite court’s orders in this regard. “Interior Ministry removed the name of Pervez Musharraf from the ECL on the very day the court issued the orders while the ministry was doing discriminatory treatment to her. She requested the court to initiate contempt proceedings against the responsible for not complying court orders.
