ISLAMABAD: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched modern and free testing service for enabling the students to seek admission in universities. This service would start from January 2017. The examination under this service would be held in January and June every year. A carbon copy of the answer sheet will be provided to the students on the spot and result would also be delivered to the students on the same day. No fee would be charged to the students for this service and government would incur all the expenses. The period for validity of result will be two years and students who pass the examination during this period would be eligible to get admission in any university across the country. The testing body will be arranged by HEC and it would be free from any pressure of the government. Earlier, this system would be used for undergraduate admissions and later its scope will be extended to the postgraduates and PhD admissions.
