DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The construction work on Kundal Section of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) started here on Sunday. During a brief ceremony held at Yarak (Dera Ismail Khan) the project manager Major Abdul Nazeef of National Logistic Cell (NLC) told the journalists that the 54 kilometre long road with green-belt would be completed within 18 months. He said that this road also contains two inter-changes at Abdul Khel and Yarak. The NLC officials informed media that the ongoing developmental package had been divided into three separate portions. Camps had already been established for the project at Kata Khel and Yarak. The officials also informed that the package contained four overhead bridges apart from 7.3 metre green belts. They said that Kundal was the Zero-point of the project. The officials told that the entire project would be supervised by a team comprising Brigadier Masood and Colonel Zaheer. The arrangements for stringent security measures have also been taken in this regard. The ceremony was attended by the senior officials of NLC including Major Farhat Abbasi, Major Zafar, Major Abdul Qadeer and media people among others.
