SA passes resolutions against Indian actions in Kashmir

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Friday passed three joint resolutions against the violations by India on LOC and brutalities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian Army.

The session was presided over by Speaker Agha Siraj Durani and all members jointly offered Fateha for departed soul of Pakistan Army’s martyrs. The house paid rich tributes to the martyrs and Pakistan Army for fighting for the safety of the country. The members of all political parties jointly condemned the recent provocative attacks by Indian Army at LOC.

Pakistan People’s Party’s resolution was presented by senior minister Nisar Khuhro and Mutahida Qaumi Movement’s resolution was presented by Syed Sardar Ahmed. The resolution from Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) was presented by Nand Kumar Goklani and others.

The house paid rich tributes to the courage and braveness of Pakistan Army. Sayed Sardar and other members said that Indian leaders never accepted the creation ofPakistan and soon after its independence Indian forces occupied Kashmir, where Muslims are in majority, and now defying the UN resolutions.

The assembly members said they believe that India’s attack was on the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan, therefore, the house strongly condemns this barbarism and violations of internationally recognized borders.

Rauf Siddiqui said that the resolutions are presented separately but their objectives are same. The Modi government will fail in its ambition, he said, adding that they salute their brave army men.

PML-Functional’s Saeed Nizamani announced that he would fight at the borders against Indian Army. He said over 0.1 million Hurr will be sent to fight along with Pakistan Army.

Mehtab Akber Rashdi, Sorath Thebo, Mahesh Mallani, Faisal Sabzwari, Khair-u-Nisa Mughal, Samar Ali Khan, Mukesh Chawlla and others said that 22 crore people of Pakistan are with the Pakistan Army. Earlier, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi said that the local government’s Minister is silent over many hundred fake appointments made by the department.

Minister Local Government Jaam Khan Shoro responded that the jobs were given in the previous government; however the anti-corruption department is taking due actions and an enquiry is underway.

While responding to questions, Minister Transport Syed Nasir Shah said mass transit project will be an example for the province. He told that around 1.52 million route permits have been issued accordingly.

Later, the Sindh Assembly was adjourned till indefinite period as per orders of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan.
