PPP leadership counters opposition’s criticism

Published on: October 18, 2016 2:54 AM

KARACHI: The central and provincial leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have categorically condemned the opposition’s criticism on Salam Shuhada rally.

Former Information Minister Qamaru-Zaman Kaira, PPP Sindh leaders, senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Sepcial Advisor to CM Maula Bux Chandio, MNA Nafisa Shah, Rashid Rabbani, Waqar Mehdi, and Najmi Alam have criticized the opposition leaders for not tolerating the success of PPP in Karachi.

Qamaruz Zaman Kaira said that people of Karachi have acknowledged Chairamn PPP Bilawal Bhutto as their only leader. Nisar Khuhro asked the opposition who was the Chief Minister of Sindh at the time when the lights were shut off during the massive rally of Karsaz led by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Special Adviser to Sindh’s Chief Minister Maula Bux Chandio said PPP is the largest political party in the country and it will remain so. He said Bilawal’s historic speech at the rally has set up a new avenue for Pakistan as he spoke against oppression and injustice.

It is pertinent to mention here that MQM leader Farooq Sattar had earlier lashed out at Bilawal’s speech and termed PPP a party of interior Sindh with no support in Karachi. He commented that PPP is responsible for the division of Sindh. “If we decide to create a new province, there will be no one to stop us,” stated Farooq Sattar.

Mula Bux said that the rally has proved that the people of Pakistan stand with PPP which is once again emerging as a political force in Pakistan. “Bilawal is the leader of the country and he is fully active in the political arena now,” he added.
