Formation of party cabinet: PTI workers to protest against violations of merit

Published on: December 24, 2016 4:12 AM

PESHAWAR: The Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to carry out a rally and demonstration in the provincial capital against the merit violation in the party cabinet formation process and alleged corruption in the province by the party ministers.

The workers under the leadership of the ideological leaders and Worker Rights Movement will show down its strength outside the provincial secretariat in Peshawar on (Saturday) to press the party central cabinet in favor of their demands

The protest and rally of the workers was scheduled in orders to get the attention of the central cabinet against the provincial leadership and delaying of intra party election.

The protestors have prepared flags, banners and placards inscribes with demands and slogans against those PTI ministers holding offices in the cabinet unlawfully and fleecing party workers’ rights.

The representatives of the district council Peshawar, youth wing, Insaf Student Federation (ISF) and ideological leaders consistently demanding Imran Khan to expel the ministers of the party from the party cabinet and fill the position with the devoted workers.

The Worker Rights Movement had carried out a crowded rally at the provincial secretariat last week and the representative from all provinces and FATA have announced a strong rally on Novemeber-24 in case their demands were not met. Amjad Akbar Orakzai senior representative of the movement claimed that thousands of party workers from all over the four regions of the province expected to join the rally and protest in the provincial capital he added.

“We demand to PTI minister to stop corruption and remove your influences from hiring government jobs and keep at arm length from the affair of the party cabinet,” Amjad Akbar warned. Anther senior representative of the movement and former president of South KP in the youth wing Shahid Shinwari said that all preparations for the scheduled protest and rally have been given the final touch; banners for the supposed protest have already been aged out at the corners of city.

He maintained that all workers and ideological leaders of the party will gathered from all over the province today to participate in the rally.

PTI ministers in KP due to its poor performance making the party stance vulnerable against other political parties in the province he alleged.

Surprisingly, for the first time that workers of a political party holding protest and taking out rally against its own party ministers in the provincial capital and alleged them for committing corruptions and nepotism.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI workers infuriated time and again over the decisions made by the central cabinet.

The representative claimed that speedy formation process of all cabinets of the four region and using delaying tactics in intra party election causing the drifts among the party workers but leaders in the central cabinet have turn deaf ear towards this important issue.

The representatives raised reservations that PTI ministers including Muhammad Atif Khan education minister, Shahram Khan Health minister, Shah Farman, Ministers for health engineering and Asim Khan, District Nazim of the Peshawar have no rights to hold the offices at the provincial cabinet. Imran Khan should take notice of these unlawful acts of the ministers and regulate party constitution by holding intra party election in the province the representative urged.

The provincial government of PTI and its minister’s slot in the province in hot waters as the workers of the party created a permanent political body under the name of Workers Rights Movement at the province.

The workers from all over the province mostly consist of youth wing held meetings several times as to the possibility of forming unity among the party workers and pressurize the central cabinet for intra party election and expose the draw backs of the party ministers.
