Sir: Undoubtedly, Pakistan is an agriculture-based country. Agriculture is a backnone of economy of the country. Most of the labour forces are attached to this sector.
Similarly, Pakistan also exports wheat, mango, date palm etc to abroad for boosting economy. But unfortunately, this sector is deprived of its due rights in particularly Sindh. Firstly farmers are provided unauthenticated seeds and pesticides on highcosts, due to this they suffer a lot of losses. Besides this, when they bring their product to nearby market, merchants purchase their material on low price.
Every year government sets its rate of wheat and gives gunny bags to farmers. But this year, wheat crop has been commenced, ready for threshing, but yet food centres are not opened in Sindh. It would be great loss for farmers if these centres remain close. Government of Sindh should take notice and save farmers from privation.
