Published on: February 3, 2017 4:53 PM

KARACHI: Hrithik Roshan’s film Kaabil hit Pakistani cinemas and received an enthusiastic response from the Pakistani audience.

Director Rakesh Roshan urged Indian government to lift the ban on cinemas from screening Pakistani movies.

According to sources, former actor Rakesh Roshan confessed to quit filmmaking as fewer screens were allotted to Kaabil in comparison to Raees in India. However, in a crucial time like this for Kaabil team, Pakistan lifted the ban from screening Indian movies in cinema and Kaabil aired in every local cinemas.

Rakesh Roshan was very happy to find out that Kaabil screening has caused cinemas to be houseful. He took it to social media to further promote the movie, stating,“Kaabil releasing tonight in Karachi at 11pm & shows starting tomorrow across Pakistan.”.

“I want to say is that if Pakistan has opened their arms, we should also move forward,” Roshan further added.

Hrithik didn’t just sit back and let his father reach out to the Pakistani fans. Hrithik also posted on twitter, expressing his wish that he hoped Pakistani fans are going to love his movie Kaabil as much as his Indian fans did.

Hrithik stated,“Kaabil just released in Karachi tonight. India gave it so much love. Hope it gets the same love from Pakistan as well.”

Kaabil’s plotline portrayed the story of a blind man played by Hrithik who seeks revenge for the murder of his girlfriend played by Yami Gautam.

Kaabil has been very successful at the box office, however; it has failed to beat Raees in comparison as Raees hit Rs. 100 crore mark. The two movies were released on the same day creating a very tumultuous situation for the fans.
