Anti-corruption Establishment registers cases against land grabbers

Anti-corruption establishment of Punjab have registered cases against two government officers and a land mafia member in an alleged land-grabbing case.

Regional director anti corruption Fareed Ahmed told that a citizen gave an application to anti corruption department that land mafia gang with the coalition of a planning officer of municipal corporation Tahir Gujjar, has occupied his land located at Ratta road Gujranwala and has also made some constructions at the plot. While another citizen Ghulam Abbas alleged in his application that some land mafia members have transferred his property to their names with the coalition of Naib Tehsildar, Pasrur. After investigations, allegations leveled against the accused got proved and after approval of higher authorities anti corruption department have registered cases against Tahir Gujjar planning officer municipal corporation, Shahzad Qaiser Naib Tehsildar Pasrur and land mafia member Ali Hassan.

Young girl commits suicide

A young girl reportedly committed suicide over domestic problems in Tariq Abad, Gujranwala.

It was reported that Aleena had a quarrel with family members over some domestic issue, and in a fit of rage she swallowed poisonous pills. She was rushed to DHQ hospital where she died.

Young boy dies in a road accident

A young boy died in road accident here at Jandiala Baghwala, Gujranwala. It was reported that Adeel was going on motorcycle when a speeding tractor trolly collided with him. Adeel died on spot.

Young boy succumbed to acid burns

A young boy who was under treatment because of the injuries he suffered due to acid attack, a few days earlier, died on Sunday.

Faraz , the deceased and his friend Bilal received burn injuries when unknown men threw acid at them, a few days ago. Both were referred to Lahore hospital due to their critical situations, where Faraz succumbed to injuries.
