2 including a woman killed, seven injured resisting robberies in city

KARACHI: A woman is amongst 2 killed and seven other people have been injured ‘Resisting robbery’ here in different areas of the metropolis.

A mother was killed and her daughter got injured when an unidentified burglar entered in their house and shot them when they were putting resistance, on Wednesday at Awami Chowk, Madina Colony area Orangi, sources have informed.

Deceased was identified as Zarina W/O Sharif 50 and her daughter Sana D/O Sharif, 25, who is injured.

Rescue source have informed that both were initially taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in critical condition where Zareena succumbed during treatment. Mominabad police have started to search out for the accused in the case.

While in another incident of robbery, one man got injured while resisting robbery in 4K Chowrangi near Power House area of New Karachi.

Sources have informed that a man identified as Farhan, 25, while resisting robbery in house was became injured when the intruder threw chemical on his face. He was shifted in injured condition to Civil Hospital for treatment. The Police has started investigations.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist opened fire on a car and injured three persons including two women near Asar Imam Bargah at Sector 5 at New Karachi.

The victims were identified as Tahir, Narmeen, and Ghazala. They were later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

The Police sources have informed that the incident seems to be robbery attempt where the victims were resisting against robbers and got wounded.

In Orangi Town 10, three men also became the victims of the robbers, sources have informed that the robbers killed the father and injured his two sons in their house when they when they were putting up resistance in Mehraj-ul-Nabias area.

The Deceased was identified as Shabir Hussain who had died on the spot, while the two sons were taken to ASH in injured condition, they are identified as Adil Hussain and Waqas the sons of the deceased.

On other hand, an unidentified body of a man has been found with bullet marks under the Raxer Bridge of Pak Colony area.

Sources in the Pak Colony police station have informed that a man, said to be drug addict, about 45/50 year old is found dead near Raxer Bridge of Pak Colony area here on Wednesday.
