LAHORE: The New Zealand Cricket Board on Tuesday turned down Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) invitation to visit the country for a T20 series later this year.
The kiwi board announced schedule for the upcoming months, according to which a 3-match T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in UAE in October.
New Zealand also turned down PCB’s invitation to visit Pakistan for the series. Speaking to the media, NZ board chief Greg Barclay said that the situation in Pakistan was better than before, but his team would not be touring the country yet.
“We know that our decision will be disappointing for the PCB, the security experts have advised us to postpone to tour,” Greg said.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20I fixtures later this year in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
