ECP releases official results for Provincial Assembly seats

PUNJAB ASSEMBLY

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the official results of 289 of the 295 Punjab Assembly seats. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was able to win 127 seats and the party that will form the center government, Paksitan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI) is not surprisingly closely following behind with 119 seats.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) were able to win 7 seats, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won 6 seats while the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-Functional), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and PARP both won one seat.

There are 27 independently elected candidates in the Punjab Assembly.

SINDH ASSEMBLY

In the Sindh Assembly, official results have been announced of 118 of the 129 seats. The PPP once more dominated Sindh with 71 seats, however, PTI was able to bag only 20. The MQM-P bagged 12 and the GDA bagged 11 seats, respectively.

Moreover, the MMA and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan won a seat each, as did an independent candidate.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The ECP has officially released the results of 96 of the 98 and the PTI is leading once more with 66 seats.The Mutahidda Majlis e Amal (MMA) has won 10 seats while the PML-N and Awami National Party (ANP) got five seats each.

The PPP also won 4 seats in the province and 5 independents have also been elected to the Assembly.

Balochistan Assembly  

Of the 50 Balochistan seats, the ECP has released the results of 45. BAP got 13 seats, whereas the MMA bagged 8 seats. The BNP and PTI also won 4 seats.

The ANP and Hazara Democratic Party got two seats each, and the PML-N, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and JQM got one seat each.
