Mustafa Kamal slams MQM-P for failing to deliver in Karachi

Published on: July 22, 2018 9:59 PM

KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Mustafa Kamal on Sunday criticised Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) for ‘mistreating’ Karachi and for failing to work for the development of the city.

Addressing a rally in Shareefabad, Mustafa Kamal criticised MQM-P saying that they have mistreated Karachi in more ways than not. He added that those who have administered the city for years have done nothing for Karachi’s development.

“MQM weaponises the youth and provokes them to commit crimes and terrorist activities. Karachi used to be a city of literate people but now the situation of education is miserable in the city,” Kamal said.

He continued that ‘these people’ have deteriorated the entire city, insisting that PSP aims to replace guns with pens and for that reason, requested the people of Karachi to vote for the party.

Later, while speaking to another crowd at Mukka colony Baldia Town 4 and Musharaf colony, Kamal said that there was no direct water supply in Baldia colony due to mafia’s influence.

The PSP head added that he was contesting elections not to seek personal benefits but to work for the welfare of the people of Karachi, to provide them with clean drinking water, standardised education and a clean environment.

He also urged party leaders to refrain from uttering derogatory remarks against political leaders and emphasised on the importance of spreading the message of love and humanity.

Kamal was accompanied by party candidates Fauzia Hameed (NA-249), Yousuf Shahwani (NA-248), Imtiaz Akbar (PS-112), Shahnawaz Qureshi (PS-116) and Saqib Siddique (PS-115).
