A bride in India called off her wedding after the thunderous sound of lightening scared the groom and made him act in a ‘weird’ way. “After the lightning, the groom behaved as [if] he was afraid of it”, a source said.
The bride publicly announced her decision which caused an outrage among family members of the groom, who complained that it was too late to back out since a priest had performed the mandatory rituals.
Their complains were, however, met with fierce response from the bride’s side as they resorted to violence and attacked the groom’s family.
Police was called who took things under control and arrested three members from the bride’s family accused of turning to violent ways.
Indian weddings are considered large social events, and sometimes, weddings are called off for bizarre reasons. For example, a bride recently left her wedding ceremony in tears after she was shocked due to her to-be husband’s drunk dance moves.
