Ahead of wedding, Sonam Kapoor reveals her take on romance

Published on: May 5, 2018 7:00 PM

Bollywood Actor Sonam Kapoor and Business man Anand Ahuja are ready for their big fat wedding. While, the wedding is a just couple of days away, the priestess of fashion told The Indian Express about her viewpoint on romance.

Sonam said, “Romance is not only about a romantic relationship. It is idealism, it is believing that the sky will always be blue, birds will always chirp and life will always get better. I am just an internal optimist”

When the fashionista of Bollywood was asked about the most romantic thing she has ever done, she said, “Little things. Observation. Understanding. The kind of coffee you drink. All of these are more romantic than the grand gestures.”

Sonam has always been a private person, particularly when it came to discussing her personal life out in the open. While she uses social platforms to express her opinions about something, she refrained from sharing anything about her personal life, whatsoever. Even when her marriage rumors started doing the rounds last year, the “Veere Di Wedding” actress remained reserved. “There’s one thing that I have been sure about from the day I joined industry was to never delve into my personal life. I just don’t talk about it. I think it is the sacred part of my life and I can give you my opinion on anything,” she mentioned earlier. “I don’t hide anything but at the same time, I don’t believe in having a conversation about my private life. I think you should have control over something at least.”

Sonam further added that feels that it is necessary to respect the privacy of her to-be husband and therefore, has always kept her personal relationships private. “I have signed up for my life to be public but my partner or someone connected to me has not done that. I can talk everything about myself but when it involves someone else, I don’t have the liberty to do that.”

The soon-to-be-married couple’s wedding is to be held in Mumbai on May 8. The day wedding will be preceded by a mehendi ceremony on May 7 and will be followed by a party in the evening on the shaadi day.
