Man commits suicide after killing children, sister-in-law

GUJRAT: A 45-year-old man from Gujrat allegedly committed suicide after murdering his sister-in-law and four children on Saturday.

According to sources, the suspect identified as Mubashir shot dead six family members, including 7-year-old daughter Minahil, 6-year-old Fatima, 3-year-old Zain, 6-year-old Hashir and 30-year-old sister-in-law Muqaddas before taking his own life.

The police rushed to the spot after residents of the area informed the forces about the incident. The dead bodies were shifted to a hospital, while investigations are also underway.

According to the residents of the area, Mubashir was married twice but got divorced on both occasions and that he wanted to marry a third time. Moreover, the suspect’s brother – Muddasir – resides in Dubai.
