Rupee marginally up against dollar

The Rupee on Friday appreciated by 1 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 277.96, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 277.97. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 278.95 and Rs 279.15, respectively. The price of the Euro against the rupee decreased by Rs 0.70 and closed at Rs 317.98 from the previous day’s closing of Rs 318.68, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.71, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 1.95 and closed at Rs 373.96 compared to the previous day’s Rs 375.91. The exchange rate of the Emirate Dirham declined by 1 paisa, while the Saudi Riyal stood stagnant, closing at Rs 75.67 and Rs 74.01, respectively.
