Peshawar Zalmi all set to face Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium

Published on: March 20, 2018 3:48 PM

LAHORE: Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) Peshawar Zalmi is all set for the second playoff against Quetta Gladiators on Tuesday at Gaddafi Stadium.

International cricketers of Zalmi team including Skipper Darren Sammy, Laim Dawson, Rikki Wessels, Chris Jordon, Tamim Iqbal and Ander Fletcher arrived in Lahore last night.

However, for Quetta Gladiators luck seemed to have changed as their key players Kevin Pietersen and Shane Watson refused to play in the PSL matches in Pakistan. But a last minute addition after Rilee Rossouw’s announcement to join the Gladiators in today’s match has surely excited the crazy cricket lovers.

Both teams are all set for tonight’s match, hoping the absence of their players wouldn’t change the game. Gladiator fans are betting on all-rounder Anwar Ali’s performance today considering his overall performance has been rated as the third highest wicket taker throughout PSL.

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators stand with equal points; both teams have won 5 matches and lost 5 in the PSL 2018. The second playoff today will decide which team gets to play against Karachi Kings on March 21.

Security is on high alert owing to match preparations, with cricket-lovers anxiously waiting for the match to commence at 7pm.

The second eliminator will be played on March 21 in Lahore; the winner of second playoff will be facing Karachi Kings on the field.
