ISLAMABAD: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday started a probe into their defeat in the contest for Senate Chairman.
Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan while talking to the media after the Senate session said that an inquiry had been initiated into the matter. Earlier, Khan had assured prior to the contest for the position that PML-N had enough numbers to sweep the election for Senate chairmanship.
He added that Senators had vowed their support for Raja Zafarul Haq before the contest but didn’t vote when the time came. He stated that an inquiry was being carried out on people who dishonoured their own pledge behind the secret ballot, costing our nominee to lose the contest for Chairmanship.
