
President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a two-day official visit, where he was received with a guard of honour at the Issyk-Kul International Airport. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov personally welcomed him upon arrival, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The visit is being described as a continuation of high-level contacts between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. It is the first visit by a Pakistani head of state to the Central Asian country since 1995, when former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto undertook a landmark trip.

During the visit, President Zardari will hold meetings with President Japarov to review bilateral relations and explore avenues for expanded cooperation. Both sides are expected to discuss trade, investment, energy, mining, agriculture, education, health, tourism, and digital economy initiatives.
According to official details, the talks will also focus on strengthening regional connectivity and enhancing people-to-people contacts. The two leaders will exchange views on regional developments and shared interests in Central Asia and South Asia.
