Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab held a farewell meeting with the Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong.
On the occasion, the Mayor welcomed the Consul General to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and praised the longstanding friendship and brotherly relations between Pakistan and China.
Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the Pakistan-China friendship is enduring and strong, and that joint efforts will continue to further strengthen this exemplary relationship between the two countries.
He added that China has always played a positive and valuable role in the improvement and development of Karachi’s local government.
The Mayor paid tribute to Consul General Yang Yundong for his services and stated that his affection, cooperation, and contributions to Pakistan, particularly Karachi, would always be remembered.
He noted that the significant improvement in Karachi’s law and order situation over the past ten years has created greater opportunities for investment and development.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Yang Yundong said that Karachi is a city of lights, love, and hospitality, and that he will always cherish the warmth, affection, and hospitality he received from its people.
During the meeting, matters related to Pakistan-China relations, Karachi’s development, and mutual cooperation were also discussed.
