Services’ exports up by 17.68% to $8.26bn

The export of various services witnessed 17.68 percent increase during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year as compared to the exports of corresponding period of the last year,

According the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan earned $8.269 billion from the export of services during the period from July-April 2025-26 as compared to services’ export of $7.027 billion in July-March 2024-25.

The services’ imports also witnessed an increase of 8.56 percent during the period under review and were recorded at $10.310 billion as compared to the imports of $9.497 billion in July-March 2024-25.

During the period under review, the services trade deficit contracted by 17.38 percent as it was recorded at $2.040 billion as against the $2.469 billion. On year on year basis, the services trade deficit went down by 115.99 percent during the month of April 2026 as compared to the exports of the same month of the last year.

In April 2026 services exports grew by 21.71 percent and reached to $914.98 million as compared to the exports of $751.75 million of the month of April 2025.

Meanwhile, the services import into the country decreased by 2.82 percent during the month under review and it was registered at $888.92 million as compared to the imports of $914.74 million of the same period of the last year.

On month on month basis, the services trade deficit narrowed by 57.75 percent in month of April, 2026 and it was recorded at $26.07 million as compared to the $61.69 million of the month of March 2026. The services exports during the month of April 2026 was recorded at $914.98 million as compared to the exports of $912.21 million of the month of March 2026.

Meanwhile, the services import into the country increased by 4.51 percent during the month under review as compared to the imports of $850.52 million during March 2026.
