Prime Minister Shehbaz praised Qatar’s constructive role in regional diplomacy and acknowledged Doha’s support for Pakistan-led peace initiatives focused on reducing tensions and encouraging dialogue among key stakeholders.

The leaders agreed that sustained communication and coordination remain essential in addressing shared regional challenges and advancing stability.

Pakistan has recently intensified diplomatic outreach in connection with ongoing regional crises, particularly involving tensions linked to Iran and broader Middle East security concerns.

Qatar has publicly recognised Pakistan’s mediation efforts in recent days, reflecting growing alignment between Islamabad and Doha on the importance of peaceful conflict resolution.

During the call, Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed warm wishes to Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and expressed his anticipation of welcoming him to Pakistan on an official visit in the near future.

The two sides agreed to maintain regular high-level contact to follow up on the outcomes of the conversation and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Pakistan and Qatar share close diplomatic, economic and labour ties, with thousands of Pakistanis working in the Gulf state and both countries maintaining cooperation across energy, trade and regional affairs.
