GUJRAT — At the University of Gujrat’s (UoG) 27th AS&RB meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ul Haq (Tamgha‑e‑Imtiaz) emphasized the pivotal role of mentorship in shaping postgraduate success.

The Advanced Studies & Research Board session on Monday, which was chaired and attended online by the vice chancellor, reaffirmed its mission to review and enhance postgraduate programs including PhD, MPhil, MS and LLM, ensuring that research activities are strategically aligned with institutional goals and national standards.
“Faculty members are the guardians of students’ academic success and their mentorship can illuminate the path towards a brighter educational future,” said the VC. Deputy Registrar AS&RB, Ms. Sarwat Khurshid, assisted in conducting the proceedings.
The meeting approved recommendations and agendas carried forward from the 26th session, while members engaged in detailed discussions on ongoing academic and research initiatives across departments. Constructive proposals were presented to further expand the scope of research work and improve governance.

Faculty Deans Prof. Dr. Zahid Yousaf, Prof. Dr. Faisal Mehmood Mirza, Prof. Dr. Audil Rashid and nominated members from affiliated colleges and senior professors from various departments participated both online and in person, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the University of Gujrat’s academic community.
