
US President Donald Trump has canceled a planned visit to Pakistan by senior aides amid ongoing Iran talks. The decision halts a diplomatic engagement that could have shaped regional dialogue. The move affects US, Pakistan, and Iran amid sensitive negotiations.
Earlier, Trump had announced sending a two-member delegation to Islamabad. The delegation included Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for high-level discussions. They were scheduled to depart for Pakistan on the same day.

However, Trump confirmed to US media that the visit to Islamabad has now been canceled. He stated that the decision was made despite earlier planning and expectations. Meanwhile, he added that Iran can engage in talks with the United States at any time.
At the same time, diplomatic activity continued in Pakistan involving Iranian officials. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi led a delegation to Islamabad recently. The delegation held meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.
