According to police sources, the first attack took place in the Lowi Sam area, where unidentified assailants opened fire on a police vehicle carrying officers to a nearby post. Five policemen sustained injuries in the assault, though authorities described their condition as non-fatal. The attackers reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Shortly after, a Rescue 1122 ambulance was targeted in the Rashakai area while en route to transport the injured officers to hospital. The attack left three additional people wounded, including the driver and two civilians.
Security forces responded quickly, with police contingents arriving at both locations and launching search operations. The affected areas were cordoned off as officials began efforts to trace those responsible. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks.
The incidents have drawn condemnation from political leaders, including members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Awami National Party, who termed the violence unacceptable and called for improved security measures.
