According to Turkish state media, including Anadolu Agency, the shooting took place at a middle school and resulted in nine fatalities and 13 injuries, six of them reported to be in critical condition. Authorities said the attacker was an eighth-grade student who also died during the incident, though it remains unclear whether the death was self-inflicted or occurred amid the chaos that followed.

The incident has triggered renewed concerns over school safety and youth violence in educational institutions. Turkish authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and the motive behind it.

Pakistan and Türkiye share long-standing fraternal relations, and Islamabad has consistently expressed solidarity with Ankara in times of national tragedies. The latest message of condolence reflects the close diplomatic and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
