Lebanon seeks Pakistan’s help to halt attacks

Published on: April 9, 2026 10:59 PM

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has sought Pakistan’s support to end Israeli attacks targeting Lebanon. The request matters as ongoing strikes have killed hundreds and threatened regional stability. Pakistan’s involvement could influence peace negotiations and protect civilians in Lebanon.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Salam. He strongly condemned Israel’s aggression and expressed grief over thousands of lost lives. Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s sincere engagement in promoting regional peace and diplomacy.
