
Islamabad, March 30, 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to review the current national security situation. The meeting included Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The leaders also discussed economic, energy, and security challenges, emphasizing the need for a coordinated national strategy and institutional collaboration. National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Asim Malik was present during the discussions.

According to sources, following the bilateral meeting, President Zardari chaired a high-level session attended by provincial chief ministers, federal ministers, and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. The session aims to assess regional developments and their potential impact on Pakistan.
