
Karachi, March 26, 2026 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Senator Sherry Rehman in Karachi to offer condolences. The visit comes after the tragic death of Rehman’s daughter, Marvi Khorshed Malik. The loss deeply affects the family and highlights the sorrow of losing a young child.
PM Shehbaz expressed profound grief over the passing and offered prayers for the deceased. He described the loss of a young child as unbearable for parents. “There are no words to express the grief of losing a child,” he added.

Marvi Khorshed Malik passed away at age 35 following a brain haemorrhage on Sunday. She had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi. Her condition worsened three days before her death, requiring ventilation.
Several senior officials accompanied PM Shehbaz during the visit, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Information Minister Ataullah Tarar were also present.
