
The Government of Pakistan has urged the public to adopt fuel-saving measures to prevent potential shortages of petrol and diesel in the coming days. The appeal comes amid a rapidly deteriorating regional situation, prompting authorities to review strategies for energy conservation. Citizens are advised to follow recommended steps to safeguard petroleum supplies.
A high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assessed the impact of regional instability on energy supplies. The meeting included Field Marshal Asim Munir and National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim. Discussions focused on implementing measures to conserve fuel and ensure efficient usage.

Officials briefed that adequate petroleum reserves are currently available to meet national requirements, and additional supplies are being arranged. However, the briefing warned that instability in the Middle East and surrounding regions could severely affect fuel deliveries. As a result, further conservation steps will be necessary in the coming days.
The Prime Minister instructed provinces to develop a comprehensive action plan to manage any emergency scenarios. He emphasized that adopting fuel-saving policies would provide relief to the public and strengthen national resilience. Monitoring and implementation of directives are being coordinated through relevant authorities, including the Intelligence Bureau.
