Local outlets also released an image showing a helicopter carrying Taliban officials. Reports suggest the officials chose Ghor because of its remote mountainous terrain. Such areas are often considered safer during potential military tensions.
Earlier reports claimed several Taliban officials had moved to other provinces for safety. Some reportedly fled to Bamiyan and Daikundi provinces using helicopters. These movements were also linked to concerns about possible Pakistani military action.
