Six PTI leaders cleared to meet founder

Published on: March 4, 2026 8:30 PM

A six-member delegation has been approved to meet the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. The list was submitted to jail authorities ahead of Thursday’s scheduled meeting. The development allows party leaders to hold direct discussions with their leader.

The list was sent by PTI coordinator Salman Akram Raja to the prison administration. It includes prominent party members, including MNA Shahid Khatak, Javed Warraich, and Shabbir Ali Qureshi. Other members listed are Adil Bazai, Sohail Sultan, and Major (R) Fayyaz Ahmed.

The delegation is scheduled to visit Adiala Jail on Thursday to meet the party’s founder. Party officials said the meeting is part of routine coordination between the leadership and senior members. The visit is expected to last for a limited time under prison supervision.

Authorities confirmed that all six names on the list have been approved for the scheduled visit. Security protocols and prison rules will be strictly followed during the meeting. Jail staff will monitor the interaction to ensure compliance with regulations.
