
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and strongly condemned rising regional tensions following Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent attacks on several Gulf states.
According to an official statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke on the phone with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening. He strongly denounced the serious regional escalation triggered by Israel’s attack on Iran, as well as the regrettable strikes that later targeted certain Gulf countries.

The prime minister said such actions are extremely dangerous for regional peace and stability. He warned that continued escalation could further worsen the situation. He emphasized that tensions must be reduced to prevent broader instability in the Middle East.

The statement said the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity and unwavering support for the Saudi leadership during the current crisis. He assured that Pakistan stands with its Saudi brothers and sisters at all times and in every difficult moment. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed readiness to play a constructive and positive role at this critical juncture. He prayed that the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan would help restore peace, stability and harmony across the region at the earliest.
