
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan supports resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, reaffirming its commitment to peaceful engagement regionally and globally. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, he emphasized that the people of Kashmir should be granted their right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions. Dar highlighted that the Kashmir dispute must be resolved in line with relevant UN mandates.
Dar noted that Pakistan was expanding diplomatic cooperation with friendly nations across key sectors. He said relations with the United States had entered a new phase, reflecting renewed engagement and broader collaboration. Efforts are also underway to strengthen ties with Bangladesh, while Pakistan pursues its foreign policy objectives proactively and dynamically.

The deputy prime minister also highlighted growing engagement with Central Asian states, stressing that relations with the region had gained further momentum. Referring to Middle East developments, Dar said Pakistan had joined the Gaza Peace Board and reiterated its principled stance during the board’s meetings. He expressed hope for improvement in Iran and other regional situations.
Dar emphasized that all parties should resolve differences through diplomatic means, with dialogue remaining the only viable path to lasting peace. He underscored that Pakistan’s foreign policy prioritizes peaceful conflict resolution and constructive engagement at all levels.
