Lahore: The sixth edition of the Jinnah Gold Polo Cup commenced in grand style at the iconic Jinnah Polo Fields, with an exciting opening-day clash at Field No. 1 captivating a sizeable crowd of polo enthusiasts and families.
In the inaugural match of the 14-goal tournament, Master Paints/Diamond Paints delivered a commanding performance to defeat BN Polo by 8–6.5 in a competitive and fast-paced encounter.
The standout performer of the match was Amirreza Behbudi, who produced a sensational display by scoring six magnificent goals, playing a decisive role in securing victory for his team. His clinical finishing, excellent field positioning, and consistent attacking pressure kept Master Paints ahead throughout the contest. Supporting him effectively were Facundo and Raja Temur Nadeem, each contributing one goal to consolidate their team’s tally.
On the opposing side, BN Polo fought valiantly and remained competitive until the final chukker. Tito Ruiz Guinazu led their scoring effort with three goals, while Saqib Khan Khakwani added two. Ibrahim Khalil chipped in with one goal to complete BN Polo’s scorecard. Despite their spirited performance, BN Polo fell short against a more cohesive and dominant Master Paints side.
