Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari has said that several key roads across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have remained blocked for the past five days, causing severe disruption to daily life. She said multiple ambulances have been stuck in traffic, putting patients’ lives at serious risk. Azma Bokhari said that due to the personal priorities of the PTI founder and the political use of the so-called “Eye Card,” the lives of ordinary citizens are being jeopardized. She criticized the provincial government, alleging that public safety is not its priority; instead, it is more concerned about the PTI founder’s eye condition than the welfare of the people. The Information Minister further said that people are reportedly dying in ambulances while the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government remains focused on organizing rallies, blocking roads, and staging sit-ins rather than resolving public issues. She added that under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government is delivering facilities and services to every district, tehsil, and union council. In contrast, she claimed that the writ of the KP government is limited to Peshawar, while in areas such as Mardan, Chitral, and Kurram, effective government presence is barely visible. Azma Bokhari stated that after the failure of what she termed a false narrative and propaganda campaign, a new “Eye Card” is being played.
