Before the scandal emerged, King Charles had included Ferguson in several key royal events, including the annual Christmas gathering at Sandringham in 2023 and the Duchess of Kent’s funeral in September 2025.
Ferguson herself praised her bond with the monarch, stating in an interview, “I’ve known the King all my life, and I absolutely adore him. He’s kind, makes me laugh, and still calls me Fergie.”
However, the goodwill extended by the King has largely backfired, as Ferguson’s continued association with Epstein not only damaged her public image but also undermined her potential role within royal circles.
