
The wife of Bollywood actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav has expressed gratitude toward members of the film industry for supporting the family during a challenging period, following Yadav’s surrender to authorities in connection with cheque bounce cases. Yadav, currently lodged in Tihar Jail, is reportedly liable to repay approximately Rs90 million in outstanding loans after facing severe financial difficulties.

Speaking to the media, Radha Yadav said the family was heartened by the solidarity shown by colleagues and peers. “Everyone has stood by us. The industry has extended full cooperation, and we are thankful to all those who came forward to help,” she remarked.

The actor’s bail hearing is scheduled for today, and the family remains hopeful for his release. Several Bollywood stars have publicly voiced their support, including Sonu Sood, Mika Singh, Gurmeet Choudhary, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Varun Dhawan. Their statements of encouragement came in the wake of an emotional interview in which Yadav reportedly said he felt he had no friends in the industry.
Yadav’s manager noted that while many had pledged assistance, financial settlements of this magnitude take time to arrange. The family is striving to remain mentally strong and optimistic about the actor’s release.
Rajpal Yadav is known for his roles in popular films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hungama, Dhol, Chup Chup Ke, Phir Hera Pheri, and Kal Ho Naa Ho. His legal troubles are not new: in 2018, he was sentenced to six months in jail and fined over loan repayment issues but was granted immediate bail.
